At Bright Vision Events, we believe our success is driven by the incredible team behind the scenes. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to James, one of our event managers.
Being an event manager at Bright Vision Events requires many different skills: communication, project management, a can do attitude and a certain level of unflappability . I believe in building lasting relationships with my clients so we can produce exceptional events that tick all the boxes.
Communicating effectively from the start is therefore vitally important to understand your event requirements. We can then provide suggested options and solutions to make your event go smoothly and without stress.
Bright Vision aims to give our clients one point of contact for their event from the proposal stage through to delivery which allows us to build better business relationships. Our goal is longevity and we strive to make business partnerships which last the test of time.
Before I came to Bright Vision I studied a Business Management Degree at University and the one module which stood out for me was on event management. We had the opportunity to deliver a family fun day for a school in a deprived area and this was my first taste planning and delivering a successful event. I was thrilled to join the Bright Vision team so I could continue my events career.
I have had some fantastic opportunities so far with Bright Vision and had so much fun working with all my clients, but this one was a memorable one for me. With so many logistics to get into place and working with a large team of our wonderful facilitators, we supplied an exhilarating team building day for 400 guests at the beautiful Fawsley Hall Hotel.
There were 400 guests who were entertained all day at various locations both in the hotel and in tipi tents within the grounds to provide a memorable and enjoyable day for all. There was a huge amount of planning which went into this and it was one of my proudest moments when everything came together beautifully on the day.
Venue: Fawsley Hall
Activities: The Escape Room, Outside the Box and Pitstop Challenge
I believe a lot of people think we sit at a desk most days, but this role is incredibly varied and no day is ever the same. From driving to an event, setting up, delivering the event, packing down, driving back to the warehouse and finally unloading back at base it can be a physically demanding. I like to try and keep fit by playing rugby and taking walks in the countryside, though both do tend to involve beer afterwards so I’m not sure that helps!
I have worked for multiple event companies in the past… big and small and Bright Vision Events stands out for the relaxed atmosphere, camaraderie, employee support and their drive for success! At Bright Vision we are encouraged to think big and work as a team. I am excited for this year meeting new clients, working with new venues and continuing to create fun memorable events!
