Our Evening Entertainment Ideas Rated Absolutely Brilliant by XL Vets
We run many evening events for our clients every year, including this recent one for XL Vets. They are a community of independently owned veterinary practices from all over the country who collaborate to provide the best possible service. It’s not often that they get the chance for everyone to meet up, so what better way to get them all together than at the wonderful Alveston Manor Hotel near Stratford upon Avon, for a chance to meet up, unwind and enjoy some fun and interactive Shakespearean evening entertainment?
The Evening was a Triumph!
As a professional event management company, coming up with ideas, in this case for evening entertainment, is an important part of what we do. We knew we needed a central location for the event as the delegates would be coming from all corners of the country. This immediately suggested Stratford to us, whilst the client had requested garden games. Stratford means Shakespeare, of course, so the idea of garden games with a Shakespearean theme was born.
The Alveston Manor Hotel was the perfect setting, as it is rumoured that one of the first performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream took place under the hotel’s famous cedar tree way back in the early 1600s.
The evening featured readings from the Bard’s masterpiece A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and although the weather wasn’t at its best, it didn’t dampen the delegates’ spirits, as they were invited to play various roles that brought the house down with cues being missed and Shakespearean language providing hilarious mis quotes. Everything was skilfully handled by Eloise, our Shakespeare expert and compere, who delighted the audience with her superb management of the amateur dramatics.
