L3 Harris in Tewkesbury has been a client of ours for many years. The difference this time was that we provided a complete virtual conference solution including a bespoke branded online platform to host their live event, along with real-time registration, the agenda, provision of live chat and reactions and a live interactive quiz utilising our own App. This is the story of the event, along with a much-appreciated client testimonial.
A live virtual conference streamed to over 300 employees
The event took place at the L3’s Tewkesbury offices in September 2020, where we transformed one of their larger meeting spaces into a COVID-19 secure studio, along with dedicated presentation and crew control areas in two totally separate areas. The event was live streamed to over 300 staff and involved an on-site team of 9 technical crew and 1 live host to deliver – socially distanced, of course.
The event itself was a combination of live and pre-recorded footage, the latter being shot and edited in our Bright Vision Studios prior to the show. On-site we had the majority of presenters with us in the studio but still had 3 remote presenters involved with the event engaging with the studio presenters and the audience live from our virtual green room.
How our team produced this virtual conference
The Bright Vision Events’ technical team installed all the required AV equipment, including:
- routers
- encoders
- all power
- the digital audio solution
- a dynamic LED lighting package
The show was produced using 4 cameras, 1 operated and 3 remote PTZ cameras to ensure safe social distancing.
9 technical crew delivered the event, including a show caller and floor manager to ensure a seamless production that was on schedule.
The show ended with a virtual gameshow, produced and hosted by Bright Vision Events across the live stream. Guests answered questions via our own App and had access to instant leader boards, updated team scores and even fastest reaction times of the delegates when the questions required it.
