Nora Flooring Systems Loved their Alternative Olympics Outdoor Team Building Activity
It’s always nice when a client gives us a really positive testimonial, as is the case here from Rugby based Nora Flooring Systems, a lead supplier in the world market of high-quality rubber floors and system solutions. They asked us to set up and run an outdoor team building activity for them. We came up with an Alternative Olympics package, which they enjoyed so much they were kind enough to say they would use us again. Read on for the full details.
All went smoothly – and it didn’t rain!
The activity was for 22 employees and we booked the Dunchurch Hotel and Conference Centre, which has some fantastic outdoor facilities for team building activities.
After detailed discussions with the client, an Alternative Olympics was settled on. This is one of our most popular outdoor team building activities, and always developed in a bespoke way to suit the particular requirements of the client. For Nora Flooring Systems, the following ‘sports’ were the highlights:
- Caber Tossing
- Space Hopper Football
- “Giant Ski” Skiing was the finale
As with all team building activities, participation and fun is important, as is learning to work better together – it’s all a question of getting the balance right. Of course, there is always an element of ‘friendly competition between teams, and in this case engraved medals were awarded to the winning team, ensuring that the whole event was an afternoon to be remembered.
As with all outdoor events, not least those that happen in the early autumn, there is always the concern that rain will intervene. We always ensure that we have a viable indoor alternative in place should rain intervene. Thankfully, the rain stayed away and the competitive afternoon of team sports went ahead, rain free.
