The Details of this Team Building Event
The event took place at the superb Whittlebury Hall in Northamptonshire on 6th October 2016. The main aim was to celebrate a successful year with team building activities based around the Rio Olympics.
The day started with an hilarious battle of wits and sporting techniques. Eight teams fought their way through a series of intellectual and sporting challenges to see who would enjoy immortal glory by winning the gold medal. The final moment of this part of the day was crowned on the space hopper pitch with the most spectacular of goals – a looping ball straight into the net from the corner flag!
Free time followed before the Rio event commenced again with a range of spectacular cocktails in the courtyard and a BBQ. The party continued in the Bentleys Lounge, which we had themed during the day in Rio style. The hard part was keeping it a secret from the group. However, the surprise was complete when the guests entered the room to a samba beat and a Statue of Christ the Redeemer.
The room was bedecked in yellow and green material and a forest of palm trees! Guests took part in a range of team building activities, including:
- Indoor laser shooting,
- Basketball, and
- Downhill bike racing
The most popular game of all was the speed reaction game. This proved a competitive hit with the crowd. The evening concluded with more medals – a reminder of a great night and a great year for Edmond Shipway.
