Our Outside the Box Activity Exceeded the Client’s Expectations
We had great fun setting up our Outside the Box indoor team building event as part of Geberit’s annual Sales & Marketing conference for 100 delegates at Warwick University’s ‘The Slate’ Conference Centre on Wednesday 12th February. The UK sales operation of Geberit, the European market leader for sanitary products, is based in Warwick and the client was delighted with our work, as this testimonial shows.
“Thank you so much to you and your team for such a fantastic 2 hours on Wednesday morning – the feedback has been great and lots of fun was had by everyone!
I wasn’t 100% sure how well it would go down, but it massively exceeded all my expectations! I will definitely be in touch again in the not so distant future.”
(Caroline Robinson, Marketing Executive)
We are always especially pleased when the client indicates they would like to work with us again in the future.
The Details of the Event
Creativity to get team members to work together, build camaraderie and improve communication and team performance is at the heart of all our team building exercises, indoors or outdoors. We have a wide range of activities to choose from, all of which can be shaped to fit a client’s requirements.
Geberit chose our popular Outside the Box team building event. This activity starts with each team being given a locked case, inside which is their full brief for the event. The first task, of course, is to open the box, which is locked with a combination lock. Each team is given several clues to help them open their case.
Once open, each case reveals a selection of team building challenges and tasks that the teams must complete in the given time frame. The ultimate objective for each team is to make as much ‘money’ as possible by completing as many challenges as well as they can.
For Geberit, 11 teams took part on the second morning of their conference. In order to make the event even more relevant to the company, several of the challenges had a Geberit theme to them. These included finding ingenious ways of using a piece of ‘Geberit Mepla Piping’ and creative ways of making a representation of another of their products, the ‘Geberit Duofix Frame’.
All teams were incredibly enthusiastic in their pursuit of the highest monetary total, with the energy levels being maintained throughout. The client was delighted.
