The Details of this Sales Conference
IKO’s annual European sales conference, 2017, was held in March at the prestigious Eastwood Hall, near Nottingham. It was a 3 day event of great importance to IKO, attended by 70 key delegates from their European operations, representing a large number of countries.
Our input was to provide full audio visual conference production for the conference itself. This featured the set, stage, sound, lighting and HD projection, along with data and video provision, all run by our 3 strong technical crew.
In addition, we devised and implemented a range of fun team building activities for the afternoon on the last day, allowing the delegates to wind down and enjoy themselves.

The Team Building Activities we Provided
At the end of 3 long days, full of strategy and presentations, the team building activities needed to be fun to keep the delegates entertained …… and warm with a cold east wind blowing.
Divided into 8 teams, the delegates certainly threw themselves wholeheartedly into a range of activities. Centred around target practice, these included:
- Archery,
- Laser Clays,
- Napoleonic Mortar Firing,
- Axe Throwing, and
- Popinjay (also known as Mediaeval archery!)
The axe throwing proved to be particularly popular. Run by our very own ‘Danish Viking’, the delegates had to hurl axes into a block of wood – some distance away – and make them stick, which is not as easy as it sounds. In true team building style, however, the teams rose to the occasion and quickly became more proficient.
The competition was certainly fierce, but good natured too. It was good to hear the cheers echoing around the gardens whenever a direct hit was scored.
